Salary: £12.37 per hour (£25,086 pa)
The vehicle mechanic will work on different classes of vehicles including installation of petrol and diesel systems and fault finding on vehicles. Applications from ex-military candidates are strongly encouraged due to the nature of some of the work. Candidates with a background in automotive or motor-sport will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
Experience of the following is preferred, but not essential.
* Carry out installation of power-train and associated systems and components in vehicles to a high standard based in a manufacturing facility.
* Installation of petrol and diesel engines, automatic transmissions, braking, fuel and cooling systems, setting up & programming control modules.
* Follow specifications and installation guides to achieve customer requirements.
* Fault finding on vehicles & sub-systems.
* Off-line sub-assembly of systems and components.
* Checking & testing of components & systems.
* Commissioning, service & repair of vehicles and other products off-site.
* Over-seas travel may also be involved.
General:
The candidate will ideally have previous experience in a manufacturing facility, carrying out work of a similar nature but ex-military candidates would also feature.
This post would suit someone in the automotive industry or motorsport industry, looking for a diverse and interesting new challenge. Time served preferred but not essential, high standard and OEM quality of work essential. You will be adaptive and flexible and must be eligible to work in UK and to gain security clearance.

08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 06.00 - 13.00 Friday (39 hours per week + overtime)
