Continued growth and demand for our service means we are currently seeking to recruit additional Ambulance Crew. Initially candidates will be trained to Patient Transport Attendant standard and practice on the road before the selection process to Emergency Transport Attendant will be available.
Candidates must be numerate with a good standard of written and spoken English and hold a full manual driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points (6 points may be accepted by exception). Good physical fitness is an essential attribute as duties will include lifting, bending and carrying in the course of transporting patients.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, therefore applicants are required to undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (each case is considered individually). A check will be carried out with the DVLA on each applicant’s driving history and entitlement.
