Principle Project Manager

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 / annum

Location: Watford or Brookwood

A Principle Project Manager is required to provide leadership in the development and implementation process of a company`s products and services. You will coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.

The Principle Project Manager will organise cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of projects (i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints). You will require experience in being able to understand and effectively communicate customer’s business needs and requirements into specific tasks and activities. The successful Principle Project Manager will also possess excellent customer relationship skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the company code of ethics and global information security.
  • Perform a variety of duties involved with planning, organising, measuring, monitoring, controlling and overseeing customer or internal services projects. Take responsibility for the final outcome/result of assigned projects or phases of a customer program (schedules, tasks, costs).
  • Responsible for release planning, resourcing, and managing project change requests and associated contract process.
  • Responsible for management of the resources assigned to the project.
  • Understand the budget and resource impacts of multiple projects in multiple departments against the overall budget and resource pool that the projects access.  
  • Lead project management process improvement and best practice assignments.
  • Evaluate and develop improvement of overall project planning.
  • Analyse business opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage company capabilities or solutions across functional areas. Assist with conducting strategic planning and decision making which addresses long-term business and customer objectives.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with internal and external organisations and individuals to ensure

appropriate cooperation, coordination and information exchange, with the goal of properly developing staff and successfully completing assigned projects including governance on 3rd party vendors.

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the industry, company products and overall business knowledge.
  • Understand the customer’s goals, business needs and current business and economic trends. Use this and other related product and industry knowledge to build solutions with customers.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Project Management experience
  • 10+ years related experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership experience required.

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 / annum
