Their  fleet of luxury vessels range in size from intimately carrying 700 passengers, exclusively adult ships to 3100 passengers, catering for all ages, tailoring their  service to all of their  customers` needs.
An exciting opportunity has now arisen as an On Board Trainer to work on one of our clients large cruise liners, travel the world, whilst getting paid. The position is offered on a 6 month renewable contract so in reality can be considered a permanent role. A 4 month option is also available.

The On-board Trainer role is varied and challenging and plays a significant part in the service delivery and development of our clients Seafarers; you will visit different places, explore new worlds, work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and gain experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime.
The On Board Trainer reports direct to the On Board Human Resources Manager.
You will work collaboratively with ship and shore stakeholders to ensure that training needs are fully met and excellent standards of training are upheld to ensure high customer satisfaction.
You will develop, deliver, and evaluate management and leadership skills, behavioural skills and product and customer service training.
You will identify learning needs, input into training needs analysis and support the design and development of fit for purpose training solutions.
You will support the development of crew knowledge, skills and behaviours by using a range of training and development delivery methods and styles to promote and facilitate learning.
The role is varied from coaching the Captain and his leadership team in leadership skills to teaching new staff \"how to make a bed \".
In addition to your professional duties you will also have to deliver staff training and have ship safety duties and responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career with our client who puts its people and customers at the centre of everything they do. The contract lengths are either 4 or 6 months on board with 2 months leave, and life on board involves working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your 10 hours will be split between morning, afternoon and evening activities.

Knowledge and Skills:
In order to be successful within this role you will be a self-starter, an accomplished Trainer with a strong drive to take accountability for your own work.
You will be recognised by others as having excellent interpersonal skills, highly resilient and calm under pressure, socially confident, decisive and flexible.
You will ideally be CIPD qualified, or possess a recognised Training qualification commercially aware and able to build strong and credible relationships.
Experience of delivering training in the cruise line, hotel and hospitality sectors would be highly advantageous.
You will have experience of training delivery in management and supervisory skills, behavioural and product and service skills training.
You will be an experienced facilitator and able to train others to deliver training.
You will be experienced in presenting information to large and diverse audiences.
You should be highly culturally sensitive, able to work well with people from all backgrounds and ethnicities, and encourages others to do the same.
You should be adept at building strong and credible relationships.
You should be sensitive to the priorities and difficulties faced by other departments, able to work effectively with them.
You should be a clear, articulate and honest communicator, able to give unambiguous verbal presentations, and able to produce easily understood written documents.
You should possess excellent interpersonal and people skills, capable of motivating, mediating, coaching, facilitating and training others towards excellent standards of management practice and customer service.
You should have an excellent command of the English language - advanced. If English is not your first language you will have to take the Marlins test.
You should be PC literate, competent in the use of MS Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
