SW 4125: Head Chef
Salary: £30,000 DOE plus Bonus
Location: N Somerset
My client based in N Somerset is looking for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager for a busy food led Pub, who will be responsible for working with and developing a Team of Chefs delivering a set menu of freshly made/prepared dishes across Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. You will be supervising the presentation and delivery of food to a specific standard operating a safe and hygienic kitchen.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the quality of food and service delivered to our guests
- To support in leading the Kitchen Team ensuring that the high levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- To conform to all Food Safety Policy guidelines
- Ensure Food safety records are compiled and ready for Audit
- To liaise with the Venue Manager on a daily to raise any issues/concerns to ensure effective communication throughout the team
- To attend all company training courses
- To assist in all function work outside their normal duties
- Be responsible for staff training and to be an effective mentor
- Any other reasonable and relevant duties as defined by the Venue Manager
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in a similar role including previous management experience
- Have good communication skills
- Be available to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and split shifts
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional Food Quality
- Have an advanced level of food hygiene certificate
- Be confident to work on own initiative as necessary
- Have a `Nothing is too much trouble` attitude
