Job Details
An Internal Technical Sales and Support Engineer is required by an established and successful engineering company specialising in pneumatic control equipment. The Internal Technical Sales and Support Engineer will have a proven mechanical engineering background with an understanding of electrics. The Internal Technical Sales and Support Engineer will also have a good working knowledge of either pneumatics or hydraulics including control valves and actuators. The Internal Technical Sales and Support Engineer will provide technical support to customers, both internal and external. The Internal Technical Sales and Support Engineer will also produce quotations and make recommendations to customers of the best products to fit their requirements. Collating other necessary information such as costs and bill of materials; consideration of existing systems and processes within the sales department and suggesting how they can be developed are also essential elements of this role.

Provide both telephone and in person technical product support
Provide sales support to customers both external and internal
Compile quotes
Make recommendations to customers of suitable products that fit their requirements
Collate costings
Produce bill of materials guidance
Consider existing sales systems and processes and offer possible ideas on how to develop them
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
Engineering apprenticeship, degree or equivalent
Mechanical bias
Ability to read technical drawings
Expertise within pneumatics or hydraulics
IT literate
Desirable:
Electrical engineering knowledge
