Kneesworth House is a 155 bed mental health hospital situated in Hertfordshire (on the borders of Cambridgeshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabilitation and open recovery wards  situated across the site. 

Our Receptionist role involves:

  • Ensure all Visitors professional and non- professional  are welcomed in a courteous, efficient and professional manner
  • Receive and process incoming and outgoing calls in a timely manner
  • To be responsible for connecting all international calls on behalf of the service users keeping an up to date log of all relevant information
  • Maintains up to date and appropriate records of staff, contractors and all visitors
  • To contact the on call staff and doctors using the hospital paging system
  • To manage the reception diary’s and to be responsible for room bookings electronically
  • To edit and dispatch the hospitals on call staff log across site
  • Communicating with the other receptions on site informing of any changes to the on call rota
  • To fax all correspondence on behalf of the medical secretary’s and wards
  • Sorts incoming post daily and is responsible for the franking of all outgoing post
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the franking machine ensuring that ready funds are available
  • To attend all Mandatory Training and all other training or meetings that will benefit the Reception Department.
