An opportunity has arisen to join the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of bespoke water pumping equipment and services.
Applications from ex-military personnel i.e. Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF) or Army are strongly encouraged.
The position is ideally suited for someone who is experienced in working within the water utilities sector (ideally) or on large M&E construction projects and have an understanding of water pumping systems.
Main Duties:
- You will need to demonstrate a clear career history as a project manager.
- Accept projects and fully ascertain client requirements & timescales, producing project programmes as a result.
- Liaising with our Sales team to fully understand the project and its requirements upon order placement
- Liaising with our in house production team and supplier network to ensure materials are ready in accordance with agreed programmes
- Arrange factory acceptance testing (FAT) of equipment under the terms of contract
- Supply customers with risk assessments, method statements and all H&S documentation
- Arrange installation & final commissioning with the service manager and installation supervisors.
- Preparation for Site acceptance tests (SAT)
- Prepare handover documentation for all installations
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
- Experience working as an electrical / mechanical contracts manager
- Work on your own initiative or as part of a small team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to read electrical drawings and cable schedules
- Negotiating and agreeing terms with suppliers
- Intermediate knowledge & working experience using Microsoft Word & Excel.
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 236 Part 1& 2 or equivalent
- City & Guilds Level 3, 17th edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- NEBOSH / IOSH
- CSCS skills card or equivalent

SALARY
Ranges between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
HOURS
The Electrical & Mechanical Project Management will work 40-hour weeks.
