Cheadle Royal Hospital operates a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people aged between 13 and 18 years, comprising open acute and psychiatric intensive care services.
Woodlands is a 10 bedded Low Secure Therapeutic service for adolescent girls who all have a diagnosis of Emergent Personality Disorder. All our girls will have experienced some form of abuse which has led to them developing maladaptive coping strategies and high risk behaviours
Woodlands has a comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Team that works closely with the young person, their families or carers and the home teams to ensure we have a common aim for the young person’s Care Pathway.
We offer a variety of therapies and interventions to help the young person safely address their past traumas whilst rehabilitating them with the view to achieving a smooth transition back to a community based setting.
An opportunity has arisen for two part time Activity Coordinators on our Woodlands CAMHS Ward.
This post is at the level of a Lead Healthcare Assistant. A background in Healthcare is desirable and the successful candidate will be motivated and confident to engage the young people on this ward in a range of activities.
The job holder will coordinate social and recreational activities for service users. This will include activities such as arts & crafts, quizzes, competitions, games and projects.
You will be expected to run a programme of activities with a specific client group. This will include weekday evenings between 5.30pm and 9.00pm and also during the day at weekends. Times and days can be negotiated.
