The Company and the Role:
Our client is a global provider of integrated service solutions supporting Governments, Military, Humanitarian Organizations and private industry in their operations everywhere, every day.
They are currently seeking a Contract Compliance Manager to be based in Dubai, UAE to
ensure contract compliance, risk mitigation and full control of the Change Control Procedures of a food logistics contract for an Armed Forces end client. The position is Permanent.
The Contract Manager is the key contact for the client related to any contract adjustments.
This position will report to the Project Manager and will be based in Dubai with frequent travel to UK.
Key Features of the Role:
You will develop a Contract Management Process, which is fully traceable and compliant to the contract and will review of scope of work along with Operations personnel to ensure compliance.
You will prepare pre-qualification documents for new opportunities with this client and liaise with the Legal Department for the preparation of contractual documents such as letters of intent, service orders, contractual amendments and change/variation orders.
You will identify areas of risk or concern in terms and conditions, RFPs, financial bank guarantees and other contractual terms not conforming to contracting policy.
You will prepare and arrange agreements and contracts with sub-contractors and 3rd party vendors and will monitor the operation of the Contract in accordance with Client`s specifications and Company Policy.
You will liaise closely with clients and the appointed contract representative in the provision of the contract management service to ensure compliance with program requirements and regulations.
You will ensure compliance with applicable laws and assisting Operations / HR with permit requirements and liaise with Claims and Legal for settlement of payment disputes, other claims, negotiation of additional rates, issue of change orders.
You will provide training and guidance to Managers and Administrators to ensure proficiency and timeliness of contract administration procedures throughout the organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Contract Compliance professional, ideally a Graduate in a relevant discipline and/or professional qualifications / memberships such as Contract Management (IACCM) etc.
Experience in contract management for large Supply Chain and/or Logistics Contracts or a background in public sector procurement at local government / municipality level is highly desirable.
Prior experience working with the UK MoD is highly desirable;
You should be experienced in change management, and excellent inter-personal skills are essential as is an innovative and analytical approach.
Above all you must have the natural ability and courage to drive change, maintain morale and deliver results.
A military background would be very useful.
You should have proven leadership, management and change management experience in a distribution business and held a similar management position in another logistics organization.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
You will be IT / PC literate. Experience of SAP is advantageous. Finally, you should possess a Drivers Licence.
