Suttons Manor is a specialist low secure forensic service for men who are over the age of 50.
Care is provided over two wards, both of which are 13 bedded male units and offer an age appropriate environment for those who also have a mental health/personality disorder and/or dementia, in need of physical health care needs.
The hospital is set in its own attractive grounds of over 9 acres near the town of Romford in Essex. Convenient access is provided by the M25, and the nearby underground station at Theydon Bois, which is on the Central Line, or rail station at Romford.
Our Ward Manager role involves:
- To promote, monitor and implement standards for patient care within the ward/unit environment, evaluating through clinical governance and audit.
- Provide clinical leadership, positive role modelling to the ward team, ensuring effective communication across the multidisciplinary team, through supervision, mentoring and appraisal.
- Ensure all CPA, risk assessment, HONOS and other agreed outcome measures are an integral part of the patients care and that it is monitored and updated on a regular basis.
- Develop and lead regular patient feedback mechanisms e.g. satisfaction surveys, outcome studies, community meetings and patient forums.
- Ensure all patient data is entered on time within the appropriate database.
- Provide information as requested to the SMT or Central staff for Quality data collection
- Ensure your practice and values demonstrate least restrictive practices and model an excellent standard of care.
- To ensure compliance with the local and company policies in all areas.
