The Priory Hospital Chelmsford is a 48 bed private acute psychiatric hospital that specialises in the treatment and management of mental health problems for both adults and adolescents. The hospital incorporates a Grade II listed building that has been extensively restored and situated in 3.5 acres of landscaped grounds. In addition, a new 12 bedded Acute Service ward will be opening adjacent to the main hospital in July 2017. 

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time HR Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources department.  We are looking for a proactive, self-motivating and forward thinking individual who has the ability to adapt to a very fast pace setting.  The ideal candidate will have previous HR knowledge, be able to prioritise their work load, work flexibly within their role with a `can do` attitude.

You will be working alongside the HR Advisor and Payroll Administrator.  Duties will include recruitment and payroll input (training will be provided for the successful candidate)

Requirements of the role:

  • Basic knowledge of HR policy and experience of running payroll
  • Impeccable attention to details
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to prioritise and multi-task with a pressurised environment
  • Have excellent IT Skills
  • Make decisions which are fit for purpose, grounded in HR best practice but will know when to escalate
