We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy dealership in Hemel Hempstead. Full manufacturer and dealer training will be provided, although applicants should possess relevant skills and qualifications within an automotive engineering discipline.
As a qualified Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician you will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults and carry out servicing of various brands of vehicle.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Ensure all vehicles are handled carefully and that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Liaise with parts department to attain parts.
- Servicing and repair of various brands of motor vehicle but mainly to Honda / Mazda / Kia.
- Use own initiative and be pro-active, putting quality of service first.
- Liaise with customers and as required ‘road test’ with them to identify faults
- Liaise with service advisor to ensure all customer needs are met
Skills & Qualifications:
- Should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Automotive or related technical discipline.
- Training and support will be provided as well as continued development and an exciting career path at a flourishing automotive group.
- Required licence or certification: Full UK Driving Licence
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8.30 – 17.30
1 in 3 Saturdays 8.30 – 12.30
Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 / annum (£25,000 Basic + Overtime)
