They are currently seeking an Inventory & Supply Chain Planner to be based at their site in Gloucestershire. The position is permanent.
The role of Inventory and Supply Chain Planner is an exciting and challenging role. The day to day duties of the role are to ensure the correct level of stock is in place at each of the Company`s 3 depot`s, manage stock accuracy, ensure commercially best buying decisions are made to acquire stock and look for cost savings at every opportunity.
These duties can be fulfilled by working closely with other departments within the business and ensuring supplier service levels are met and maintained.

Key Features of the Role:
Ensuring stock levels run at 23 days stock or less.
Monitoring and evaluating stock for each depot, ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time.
Maintain commercial awareness of suppliers.
Work closely with Operations to ensure stock accuracy via Perpetual Inventory
Ensure problem stock is highlighted to the Sales Team and dealt with accordingly.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.

Knowledge and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you will already be an experienced Stock Controller / Inventory Planner or possibly a Buyer ideally with some of your practical experience gained within the foodservice sector.
You will be familiar with computer based stock control / inventory systems with experience gained in a fast moving environment ideally where you have had exposure to seasonal fluctuations.
You will be a problem solver with a common sense approach and will be self motivated, committed to being the best and proactive in delivering improvements.
You will be flexible in approach and able to adapt quickly to change and have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.
You will possess well developed influencing and communication skills at all levels and be highly organised with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
You will be solutions driven, providing creativity where required, and be attentive to detail.
You must have a positive `can do` attitude, be self-motivated and keen to learn new skills, and have a desire to make a difference.
Good computer literacy, including Excel is key to this role.
The successful candidate will also be required to have the flexibility to work extra hours in line with the business needs.
