Job Details
An experienced Vehicle Mechanic is required to join an independent, multi-award winning family owned business. The company is now expanding their team of technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and inspection of all makes and models of cars and vans; plus knowledge of Saab and Mitsubishi would be advantageous. To be successful you will hold a Level 2/3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification. Ideally candidates will be an approved MOT Tester; however this is not essential as training will be provided in order to achieve active tester status. As a Vehicle Mechanic you must be able to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team. The position offers a competitive salary, benefits and a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs to all makes and models of cars and vans.
- Accurately maintain vehicle service records.
- Planning and prioritising work in order to complete on time.
- Ensuring parts are available if required to carry out repairs.
- Uphold company standards and providing exceptional customer service as meeting and talking to customers is also a key part of the job.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experienced Vehicle Mechanic
- MOT approved tester (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence.
- Working Knowledge of Saab and Mitsubishi products would be advantageous.
- Level 2/3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
- Experienced with diagnostic equipment.
Person specification:
- Driven and self-motivated.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of I.T will be beneficial.
- Must have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Polite, reliable and punctual.
- Disciplined, professional and honest.
Benefits: 22 days plus Bank Holidays
Salary: £20,000 – £27,000 per annum depending on experience and skill level
