This sales position is with a well-established company selling high quality equipment to UK MoD and Law Enforcement Agencies. A vacancy has arisen for a Sales Executive to sell the company’s commercial security and defence products to Law Enforcement Agencies and sports dealers. The product range includes optical sights, electro optics, surveillance equipment and protective headgear for law enforcement agencies; the company also sells shooting sports accessories to a national network of shops and dealers. The company is located in Surrey and so it would be preferable if you were located within easy commuting distance; however, for the right candidate distance may not be an issue.

Key Responsibilities:
- Selling a law enforcement portfolio of optical sights, electro-optics and a range of tactical equipment to UK police forces, UK Border Agency and the Forestry Commission
- Selling a portfolio of optical sights, electro-optics and shooting sports accessories to a national network of shops and dealers
- Responding to customer enquires
- Preparation of quotations
- Telesales and promotion
- Marketing support including promotional duties such as attending exhibitions
- Reporting of weekly sales activity on CRM application
- Expense and time reporting
- Undertake any other appropriate tasks which may reasonably be requested by the Director
Person Specification:
Essential:
A positive attitude is essential combined with some technical knowledge and commercial acumen. This is a field-based role and requires someone with excellent planning and time management skills. It would suit someone who has either previous field-based experience or the drive to succeed in such a role.
Desirable:
- Degree in engineering or science
- Knowledge of field sports, country pursuits and/or optical equipment would be an advantage
- At least 3 years sales or business development experience preferable in government sales, technical sales or outdoor pursuits
- Recognised sales training courses
- Experience of working to ISO 9001 standards
- IT literate - MS Office suite and experience of using a recognised CRM application
- Full clean driving licence
Salary: £30000-£34000 (OTE £40,000)
