Our client is a leader in the design, manufacture and production of fixed protection and centrifugal pump systems. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to grow our client’s Engineering Services Division in South East Asia. They require a Business Development Manager to be home-based within Malaysia, so this position will ideally suit somebody currently based locally or considering a permanent relocation to Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and implement establishment of new and existing service facilities in strategic locations
- Identify, develop and implement opportunities for service joint ventures, mergers or acquisitions
- Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the region
- Selection of most suitable opportunities for investment that suit the strategic needs of the business
- Provide key strategic analysis and reports
- Work with the Engineering Services Division (ESD) senior management team and Regional Heads to expand the ESD business in Asia
- Work with other Global and Regional heads to support the sales of new products
- Preparing necessary financial reports for Senior Managers
- Performance to set KPI’s
- Generating and qualifying leads
- Analysing sales data to identify new opportunities
- Travelling to visit existing and potential clients
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Present a professional image, support and promote brand values at all times.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
- Engineering background with experience of centrifugal pumps
- Experience in working within a service organisation
- Identifying, developing, negotiating and delivering profitable major service opportunities to the business
- Identification and development of new and existing customer relationships
- Identification and development of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
- Presentation and negotiating skills with customers
- Highly numerate with command of Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Full driving licence
- Able to work and travel internationally
- Excellent written and oral English Language skills
Desirable:
- Minimum of a Mechanical Qualification to City & Guilds equivalent
- Experience working outside the UK

Salary: circa £50,000
