HQ5297 Warehouse Operative
Location Melton, East Yorkshire
Salary £23,000 - £27,000 DOE
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Operative to join the team at the UK’s most trusted and established supplier to trade of diamond tooling, stonemasonry supplies and specialist floor cleaning equipment. The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for the effective execution of Goods In whilst maintaining a healthy and safe warehouse environment. Normal working hours will be 745am to 445pm Monday – Thursday and 830am to 4 pm on Friday
This role is an active role that will require regular lifting, carrying and manual handling of boxes
Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged
Key Responsibilities;
- To coordinate and maintain an effective Goods In Service
- Receive in, check and process all goods in stock in a timely manner
- Place items in the warehouse in appropriate areas, boxing up as necessary
- Ensuring all products have codes and branded
- Report any Back Orders to Procurement and if required liaise with the supplier and receive revised delivery date
- Support the Procurement Manager and team by timely completion of reporting and administrative duties relating to Goods In
- To support the Goods Out service as required
- Quality check on all items, ensuring they meet the required standard
- Set out quality management procedures for Goods In department
- Maintain a healthy, safe and effective warehouse environment
- Complete all team and business activates to contribute to a high standard of performance and customer service
- To communicate effectively and proficiency with external customers and suppliers
Person Specification;
- Team player
- Have the ‘can do’ attitude
- High levels of personal motivation including confidence and energy
- Be able to prioritise activities effectively and successfully
Essential;
- Experience and knowledge of working within a Warehouse/Dispatch operation and processes
- Excellent IT skills
- A good level of communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- A good standard of GCSE’s or equivalent
- Forklift Licence not essential
